Bibliographic Record Display Form

Command link:     none
HTML document:  bib_display.html

The bibliographic record display form controls the display of bibliographic records in WebPAC Pro. For an example of this file with token placement, see Customizing the Bibliographic Record Display.

Token Description
<!--{toplogo}--> The system replaces this token with the value of the TOPLOGO Web option.
<!--{ifbibdisplay}--> The system checks for this token when calling displays other than the bibliographic record display (such as the exported records display). If the system calls the bib_display.html form for any other reason than displaying a bibliographic record, the system will suppress display of any content and tokens between this token and its matching <!--{xif}--> token.
This token can appear multiple times on the page.
<!--{xif}--> Closes the <!--{ifbibdisplay}--> logic.
<!--{navrow}--> The system replaces this token with the value of the navigation row in the record display.
<!--{searchhistory}--> The system replaces this token a search history drop-down list.

<!--{pager}--> The system replaces this token with the pagination tool.
<!--{recordinfo:[list of varfield tags]}--> The system replaces this token with information from variable-length fields specified in the [list of varfield tags] element of this token. The [list of varfield tags] element accepts any bibliographic variable-length field tag as a valid value (for example, <!--{recordinfo:atp}--> to display the author, title, and publication information) as well as the following special values:
Special ValueDescription
<!--{recordinfo:!}-->The system replaces this token with the value of all fields listed in the webpub.def file before a line containing the H value in the [field tag] element of the webpub.def file.
<!--{recordinfo:#}-->The system replaces this token with the value of all fields listed in the webpub.def file after a line containing the H value in the [field tag] element of the webpub.def file.
Appending Fields

The values specified in this token override field display values specified in the webpub.def file, including any Q tags specified for appending fields.

To append fields in the record display, enter Q tags after the appropriate field tags in the <--{recordinfo:}--> token value, as needed. For example:

<!--{recordinfo:crnQwio}-->

This value appends the c, r, and n fields.

Do not enter delimiting characters as you would in the webpub.def file.

<!--{bibimage}--> The system replaces this token with the value specified in the BIBIMAGE Web option.
<!--{recordlink}--> The system replaces this token with the value of the ICON_RECORDLINK Web option. Clicking this link takes the user to the permanent record link.

<!--{items}-->

The system replaces this token with a list of any attached items or volumes.

<!--{media}-->

The system replaces this token with the material type defined in the MEDIA Web option or, if it is defined, by the IMAGE_MATTYPEx image associated with that material type. If no material type is set in the MEDIA Web option, the system replaces this token with a (non-breaking space).

<!--{orders}-->

The system replaces this token with any attached order records.

<!--{ifhascoursereserves}--> The system uses this token to check if the bibliographic record or any of the attached item records are on reserve and active. The system searches the attached course records for the presence of an ITEM ID field with a status of 'a' (active). If found, the system interprets the <!--{coursereserves}--> token that follows.

Innovative recommends placing these tokens directly after the <!--{items}--> token for display purposes.

<!--{coursereserves}--> The system replaces this token with a course reserves table which displays course name and instructor. Note that the columns and labels for each column are set in the Record Display Definition file.
<!--{xif}--> Closes the <!--{ifhascoursereserves }--> logic.

NOTE

This token overrides the BIBLOC Web option.

<!--{ifTOC}--> The system uses this token to check if there are tables of contents to display for this record. If so, the system will interpret the <!--{TOC}--> token that follows.

Clicking the headline expands the review to show the entire review text for that headline. This token is identical in functionality to the <!--{patronreviewsbrief}--> token.

You can create separate custom forms for each combination of language, scope, and patron type by using the following naming convention:

bib_display_LANG_s#_p#.html

LANG The language code (spi for Spanish, frc for French, etc.).
s# The number of the scope (s1, s2, s3, etc.).
p# The patron type or PTYPE (p0 or p243, etc.).

For a current example of this form, see the appropriate example set in WebPAC Example Sets and Photoshop Files on CSDirect.
