Web Works Quick Edit

If your site has acquired Web Works Quick Edit, you can update the central catalog with your holdings via a web browser, eliminating the need to distribute client software that requires local loading and management. Quick Edit works with all commonly used Internet browsers.

Quick Edit provides an easy, web-based method for contributing records to an Innovative system. You can log on to the WebPAC as a staff user, search for bibliographic records, and add or edit item or holdings records. You also can create a new bibliographic record and attach records to it. The Web Works Quick Edit configuration file controls which record types you can create and edit, which fields appear on the cataloging form, the corresponding field labels and field requirements, and how the fields map to MARC.

For systems with the scoping feature enabled, Web Works Quick Edit limits access to records and the locations assignable in record creation and editing to the Preferred Locations associated with the login. See Scoping Overview for more information on scoping. Use the Administration Application to set the Preferred Locations for a user login.
