ArticleReach Request Details Display

The Request Details dialog can include the fields described below. Note that the display of request details is limited to fields relevant to the current status of the request you are viewing.

Field Description
Article The title of the requested article.
Author The author of the requested article.
Call Number The call number of the journal that contains the requested article. This field is present in the Paged Request details dialog only.
Cancel Note The reason the request was cancelled. This field can contain the following:
  • An automatically generated reason (if the system cancelled the request)
  • A reason manually entered by a staff member (if the staff member cancelled the request)
  • The value "Cancelled by patron" (if the patron cancelled the request in the ArticleReach request display in the View Your Patron Record feature in the WebPAC)
Central Ariel IP Address Obsolete.
Central Ariel Patron Name Obsolete.
Central Record/Central Bib No. The central bibliographic record number of the journal in which the requested article is published. This field is present in the Paged Request details dialog only.
Citation Source The source of the citation information. This field displays data submitted by the patron in the sid field in the ArticleReach Request Form.
CodeN The CodeN of the journal that published the requested article.
Currently Paged At The name of the site at which the request is currently paged. This field can display the value "Not Currently Paged" for requests with status of "CANCELLED", "IN MEDIATION", or "TO ILL".
Date Placed The date on which the patron submitted the request. This field displays only in the Edit Mediated Requests dialog.
Date Supplied The date on which the supplying site processed the requested article. This field is present when viewing requests using the Checkin Requests function only.
Date to Mediation The date on which the system updated the request status to "IN MEDIATION".
Day The day on which the requested article was published.
EISSN The EISSN of the journal that published the requested article.
End Page The ending page number of the requested article.
Filled By The name of the site that filled the request.
Holdings Holdings information from the checkin record of the requested item. This field is present in the Paged Request details dialog only.
ISSN The ISSN of the journal that published the requested article.
Issue The issue in which the requested article is published.
Journal The title of the serial in which the requested article was published.
Last Update The date on which the request status was most recently changed.
LCODE1 The contents of the LCODE1 field in the license record. This field displays in the Paged Request Details dialog if your library has enabled the ERM License Display feature and configured this field to display.
LCODE2 The contents of the LCODE2 field in the license record. This field displays in the Paged Request Details dialog if your library has enabled the ERM License Display feature and configured this field to display.
LCODE3 The contents of the LCODE3 field in the license record. This field displays in the Paged Request Details dialog if your library has enabled the ERM License Display feature and configured this field to display.
Local Record The central bibliographic record number of the journal in which the requested article is published. This field is present in the Paged Request details dialog only.
Location The shelving location of the requested article. This field is present in the Paged Request details dialog only.
Mediation Reason The reason the system updated the request status to "IN MEDIATION". The value of this field can be any of the following:
  • "No holdings found in the central database for bib record matching this ISSN"
  • "No ISSN match in the central database"
  • "No ISSN was specified for this request"
  • "Request could not be supplied by any participating library"
  • "No patron email address provided"
  • "Exceeds usage threshold: # request(s) have been made in the last # year(s) for articles appearing in this publication within the last # year(s)"
Month The month in which the requested article was published.
Needed By The date by which the patron needs the request.
Number The number of the issue in which the requested article is published.
Paged Locations The site codes of potential lenders in paging priority order. The site at which the request is currently paged displays in red between double-arrow brackets.
Pass History The reason(s) that the potential supplying site(s) passed the request. This field displays in the Edit Mediated Requests dialog only.
Patron # The patron record number at the requesting site.
Patron Delivery Preference The delivery method the patron chose during requesting.
Patron Email The requesting patron's email address. This field is present in the Paged Request details dialog only.
Patron Name The name of the patron who placed the ArticleReach request. This field only displays when viewing requests using the Mediate Requests function or using the View Requests functions and the requesting patron belongs to your site.
Patron Note The text entered by the patron in the Note field in the ArticleReach Request Form in the WebPAC.
Patron Site The requesting patron's site (displays the BRANCH NAME).
Patron Type The central patron type of the requesting patron.
Pickup Location The pickup location the patron chose during requesting.
Quarter The quarter in which the requested article was published.
Request ID The unique number used by the system to identify each article request.
Requesting Library Receiving Information – EMAIL The email address at which the requesting library wants to receive any requested articles. If the requesting library prefers this method to receive requested articles, this field is enclosed in double-arrow brackets.
Requesting Library Receiving Information – FAX The FAX number at which the requesting library wants to receive any requested articles. If the requesting library prefers this method to receive requested articles, this field is enclosed in double-arrow brackets.
Requesting Library Receiving Information – MAIL The postal address at which the requesting library wants to receive any requested articles. If the requesting library prefers this method to receive requested articles, this field is enclosed in double-arrow brackets.
Season The season in which the requested article was published.
Staff Note The text that library staff can enter in the Staff Note text box. This text box can be viewed using the Process Paged Requests function or the Edit a Mediated Request dialog.
Start Page The starting page number of the requested article.
Status The current status of the request. This field displays a value composed of from one to three elements:

Note:
  • The number of elements displayed depends on the status of the request. For example, a paged request displays only the first element, the status, "PAGED". However, a request that has been filled by the supplying site and delivered to the patron by the requesting site displays all three elements, "FILLED ELECTRONIC (delivered to patron via patron pickup)", as its Status value.
  • A request filled via the Local supply method displays only the first two Status elements.
  • Cancelled requests display a Status value that specifies the type of cancellation. This value can be either "STAFF CANCELLATION" or "PATRON CANCELLATION".

Submitted Via The type of form used by the patron to submit the article request. Possible values are:

ArticleReach Catalog FormRequest submitted via the Request Article link in the bibliographic record in the ArticleReach Catalog.
Blank FormRequest submitted via the /nonret command link on a WebPAC page other than the bibliographic record.
OpenURL FormRequest submitted via a link resolver such as WebBridge.
UnknownThe system cannot identify the form as one of the other possible values. Typically, this value indicates an incorrectly formatted OpenURL request.
Supply Method The method that the supplying site uses to supply the requested article to the requesting site. This value corresponds to the method that staff at the supplying site choose when processing the request. This field is present when viewing request details via the Checkin Requests function only.
Terms of Use (Patrons) The contents of the TERMS OF USE (Patrons) field in the license record. This field displays in the Paged Request Details dialog if your library has enabled the ERM License Display feature and configured this field to display.
Terms of Use (Staff) The contents of the TERMS OF USE (Staff) field in the license record. This field displays in the Paged Request Details dialog if your library has enabled the ERM License Display feature and configured this field to display.
URL The URL that a staff member enters when checking in an item with a URL delivery method.
Volume The volume in which the requested article is published.
Year The year in which the requested article was published.
