ArticleReach Status Values

The ArticleReach requesting process differs from standard circulation requesting in that the item supplied to the patron does not need to be returned to the supplying site. To reflect this different process, ArticleReach requests can have the status values described below. The table below lists the status values that display for library staff, as well as the more generalized values shown to patrons in the View Your Patron Record feature in WebPAC.

Status Description Displays in WebPAC As
NEW The patron has submitted the article request. The request has a "NEW" status while the system creates a paging list. REQUESTED
PAGED The request is paged at a potential lender (a supplying site). REQUESTED
IN MEDIATION The system updates a request's status to "IN MEDIATION" if: REQUESTED
IN TRANSIT The supplying site has supplied the article to the requesting site. The requesting site has not yet checked in the item. IN TRANSIT
FILLED One of the following events has occurred:
  • The requesting site has checked in the article.
  • The supplying site processed the request with the Local supply method.
  • The supplying site filled the request using ArticleReach e-Delivery Integration.
FILLED
CANCELLED The system, a staff member, or the patron has cancelled the request. For statistical purposes, the system tracks system, staff, and patron cancellations separately. CANCELLED
TO ILL If the requesting site has acquired the Pass2ILL for ArticleReach product, the system updates a request's status to "TO ILL" if: When the system updates a request's status to "TO ILL", it forwards request and bibliographic information to the ILL department at the requesting site.
