Renewing Items

To renew items using the Checked-Out Items tab, you must be assigned permission 94 (View patron record in check-out). For more information, see Permissions Used By Sierra.

You can renew items in Sierra in the following ways:

You can either allow the system to calculate a new loan period for the renewal, or choose a specific due date for the renewed item.

When you attempt to renew an item, the system determines whether the item is eligible for renewal:
