Setting Up My Encore

My Encore allows your library to link your WebPAC title links to your Encore catalog. Using My Encore enables the following behavior:

Preferred Searches

My Encore does not support Preferred Searches.

Links to your Encore catalog can vary by domain, context, language, and scope. If you have different Encore URLs that correspond to the scopes of different libraries, My Encore links to the appropriate URL based on the scope in use in WebPAC.

Setting Up My Encore

Enabling My Encore in your WebPAC requires Innovative setup. Complete the following steps to enable My Encore in your WebPAC.

  1. Complete the Service Commitment on CSDirect. Specify:
    • The Encore catalog domain for WebPAC link redirects.
    • Any context and scope for Encore catalog target links.
    • If your library wants to offer an Encore search box and home link on your system-generated and customizable WebPAC pages.
  2. Verify a <!--{botlogo}--> token is present on all WebPAC customizable pages upon which you want to include an Encore search box and home link.
  3. Review the setup in your staging WebPAC after Innovative staff have advised you the enhancement is ready.
  4. In the Web Options function, select the General Display and Behavior Options group.
  5. Set the WEBLINKS_ENCORE Web option to '1' or '2'.
    Requirements

    Setting the WEBLINKS_ENCORE Web option to '1' requires Encore 4.2 or later.

  6. Define the BOTLOGO_ENCORE and STYLESHEET_ENCORE Web options, as needed.
  7. Save your changes and restart the WebPAC.
  8. When you are ready to go live with the redirected links, use the Web Master function to move the files to your live directory.

My Encore Customizable Forms

You can offer users a unique Patron Record/Account form with the My Encore Account Display Form (patronview_encore.html)

  1. Using the Web Master function, edit the patronview_encore.html form in your staging directory.
  2. Review your changes in your staging WebPAC. When the preview reflects the changes you want, use the Web Master function to put the files in your live directory.
  3. Save your changes and restart the WebPAC.
