Circulation Activity Reports

To view these reports, you must be authorized for function 17 (Circulation statistics). See Permissions Used by Sierra for more information.

By default, the Checkout column in Circulation Activity reports does not include renewals. Innovative can configure your system to combine renewals and checkouts into the checkout count display in the All Activity, Hourly, Owning, and Non-owned items reports. Alternatively, Innovative can configure a separate Items Circ column that combines checkouts and renewals in the All Activity report. If Innovative creates the combined column in the All Activity report, counts are not combined in other circulation reports. Additionally, Innovative can combine checkouts and renewals into the Checkout count column in the Web Management Cross Tabulation reports. Contact Innovative to request any of these configuration options.

The Circulation Activity reports describe circulation activity on your system over different periods of time.

All Activity	Displays all circulation activity by statistics group, location, and time.
Booking	Displays booking activity by patron and item codes.
Checkout	Displays checkout activity by patron and item codes.
Filled	Displays holds filled by patron and item codes.
Hourly	Displays hourly checkout activity.
Inhouse	Displays the activity of items used in the library.
Non-owned	Displays counts of items checked out at a location other than the owning location. Available at INN-Reach sites only.
Owning/Home	Displays, for a specified time period, how often patrons checked out items owned by locations other than their home library. Available at INN-Reach sites only.
Patrons	Displays circulation activity by patron.
Requests	Displays all requests made by patrons that were accepted by the library.
Renewal	Displays an analysis of renewal activity. Available only if your system is configured to analyze renewals and checkouts separately.
Title	Displays circulation activity by title.

Circulation Activity reports are not saved. A new Circulation Activity report is generated each time the report is viewed (that is, each time you choose Submit to retrieve the report). The system retains the source circulation statistics for these reports for up to 36 months.
