Viewing Title Circulation Reports

To view these reports, you must be authorized for function 17 (Circulation statistics). See Permissions Used by Sierra for more information.

The Title Circulation report enables you to specify a set of titles, and then to view data on the number of times the title has been checked out and the number of times the title has been used in-house. The system calculates these statistics from the item records attached to each title and reflects cumulative activity since your system was installed.

To view this report:

  1. Select Circ Activity from the reports menu.
  2. Click Title from the reports menu, and click Submit. The system displays the report last generated.
  3. To change the parameters for the report or to update the existing report, click Recalculate.
  4. To specify a set of titles based on usage, enter the minimum and maximum number of transactions in the fields to the right of the label To be listed, a title must have at least this many transactions.

The system automatically displays default values of 0 and 99999, respectively. If you specify at least 0 transactions and at most 0 transactions (that is, enter 0 in both boxes above), the report shows titles never checked out or used in-house.

  1. To specify a set of titles based on bibliographic record number, enter the Minimum and Maximum record numbers.

Enter only record numbers in the boxes; do not enter the prefix .b or the check digit.

  2. To specify a review file, click the button to the left of the review file name. You can select only one review file at a time.
  3. After specifying a set of titles, click Submit Query.
  4. To view the most recent data, click Recalculate.
