To view these reports, you must be authorized for function 17 (Circulation statistics). See Permissions Used by Sierra for more information.

  4. Choose one of the following options under the Sort By section of the reports menu:

    VALUEACTION
TerminalDisplays the number of transactions that occurred at each transaction location, represented by the statistics group associated with the user who checked the item in.

If you do not have a specific login group 0, the statistics displaying for terminal 0 are as follows:

    • The Holds column shows requests placed in automatic requests processing. Specific details of holds by terminal can be obtained by Viewing the Circulation Requests Report.
    • Transactions placed by Innovative staff in the process of testing the system are included in the counts for terminal 0.

If the login has not been assigned a statistical group or terminal numbers, the system randomly assigns terminal numbers including 0.

    WebPAC Transactions

Transactions in WebPAC default to login group 800 by default.

Item LocationDisplays the number of item transactions for each location or branch.

Note that if an item that belongs to location X were to be checked in at location Y, it would be reported here under location X. In the report by terminal location, it would be reported by the terminal number of location Y. Note further that holds placed on the first copy returned have no location associated with them and hence are listed here separately with the location Blank Branch.

HourDisplays the number of transactions that occurred each hour during a specified time span.

This option shows the number and percent of transactions that took place during each hour in the specified time span. The report includes all hours in which any circulation activity occurred. Backdated check-ins are counted as if they were checked in at 4:00 a.m. For each function described in the report, the system displays statistics on the Number Done and the Percent Done for the past ten days.

    • Total #—The number of times the function was requested on the day indicated.
    • Percent—The percentage of times the function was requested each day in proportion to the total performed in the past ten days.
