Using RFID Technology with Item Status API

If your library has acquired the Item Status API product, library staff can use RFID technology to check in, check out, and renew items, and patrons can use RFID technology to check out items using Express Lane (as well as renew items if patrons have the items with them). You can use Item Status API with either or both products: you are not required to use Item Status API at both circulation and Express Lane stations if you want to use RFID technology with only one of these.
