Possible Messages (Item Status API)

This section describes some of the messages you might see when you use the Item Status API product to process items with an RFID scanner.

Item Status API and Express Lane

<Patron>, checking out the items on the pad...
Item Status API is processing the items currently on the RFID pad. Express Lane displays a message (success or error) when each RFID process is complete.
The RFID pad is currently not available.
The RFID server for this station is not communicating with the RFID scanner.
RFID warning
This message displays in the status bar if the RFID scanner or server is currently unavailable.
There are too many items on the pad.
The RFID scanner is unable to process the current number of items on the RFID pad.
One or more of the items on the pad could not be checked out.
The system is not able to check out at least one item. The item(s) not checked out display in the error color (red by default) on the Current Session screen.
Item Blocked
The system is not able to check out the item due to a block. Check the item out at a circulation station.
Security Device Still Active
The system was able to check the item out, but the item's security bit was not successfully desensitized.
Item record cannot be located.
The system is unable to find an item record associated with the item barcode.

Item Status API and Circulation Functions

The RFID pad is currently not available.
The RFID server for this station is not communicating with the RFID scanner.
There are too many items on the pad.
The RFID scanner is unable to process the current number of items on the RFID pad.
Item could not be checked out (or in). Please remove the item from the RFID pad.
Item Status API is not able to process the item.
Item record cannot be located.
The system is unable to find an item record associated with the item barcode.
The following item could not be checked in because the set is incomplete
The following item could not be checked out because the set is incomplete
The following item could not be renewed because the set is incomplete
This item is part of a set, and all items within this set must be processed together. The RFID server is not able to detect all the items in the set.
