How Item Status API Processes Incomplete Sets

If your library uses Item Status API, the Block Incomplete Sets feature automatically blocks the checkin, checkout, and renewal of items that belong to a set (for example, a DVD box) and that you attempt to process without all the items belonging to the set present. For example, if a DVD box set is entered into the system as containing Discs 1 and 2 and you attempt to check in only Disc 1, Item Status API automatically blocks the checkin. The Block Incomplete Sets feature applies to both standard circulation functions and Express Lane.
