Title Paging Lists

To print title paging lists, you must be assigned permission 394 (Title Paging Lists). See Permissions Used by Sierra for more information.

The title paging list contains a list of items that have been paged to fulfill a title- or volume-level hold. Sierra enables you to print the title paging list if the Title Priority Paging feature is enabled.

A title page is generated when you place a title- or volume-level hold and choose to page for the title. For more information, see Generating Title- and Volume-level Pages. Sierra prints title pages when you prepare and send title paging lists.

For more information, see the following:

Setup and Functionality Information

Lists v. Slips
Unlike item paging slips, which contain one paged item per slip, the title paging list contains information on all of the items being paged to fulfill a title- or volume-level page.
Including Volume Information
If your library has acquired the Volume Level Holds product, the title or volume information automatically includes the VOLUME field in the volume record (if one exists).
Paging and the Not Wanted Before Date
If a hold has a Not Wanted Before date in the future, the hold is queued for paging but does not display in the title paging list until the Not Wanted Before date has passed.
Possible Duplicate Entries
If there is more than one hold on a title (either for the same patron or for different patrons), the same entry can appear more than once on one location's list.

Customizing Title Paging Lists

Your library can customize title paging lists as follows:

Default Title Paging List

In the default title paging list, each entry contains the following information, if the information exists:

The date and time the notice is printed.

Publication date The MARC 260|c field in the bibliographic record, if it exists.
Hold Pickup Location The hold pickup location the patron chose when placing the hold.
