Using Research Pro
Research Pro is Innovative's federated search tool that enables users to perform simultaneous searches across your organization's multiple information resources, including licensed full-text or citation databases, local and commercial digital collections, Web sites, search engines, library or union catalogs, and more.
Research Pro also offers your organization the ability to:
- Control the appearance and functionality of your Research Pro using technologies similar to the WebPAC.
- Restrict access to Research Pro for organizations using licensed resources.
NOTE
You must use a JavaScript-enabled Web browser to use Research Pro.
Accessing Research Pro
You can offer users the ability to access Research Pro through either:
- a passthrough search
- a direct link from your library catalog to either the Research Pro simple search page or the advanced search page
