The mfaccess.conf File

Research Pro uses the mfaccess.conf file to block access to each instance of Research Pro that is installed on the local Innovative server. Your library can block access by IP (or range of IPs), and different IPs can be blocked for each separate instance. You can specify IP addresses by octet and use ranges within an octet, as needed. You can edit the mfaccess.conf file using the Web Master function.

The file format is a list of IP addresses or a range of IP addresses to block. For example:

205.
205.227.
205.227.88.
205.227.88.50
205.227.88.50-55

If your library limits access based on internal or external IP addresses in the Limit Network Access table, duplicate those IP address listings in the mfaccess.conf file.
