Hold Slips
Sierra enables you to print a hold slip when:
- You check in an item that satisfies a local hold or a ComCat (NCIP) hold.
- You check in an item from an INN-Reach owning site.
For more information, see the following:
Customizing Hold Slips
Your library can use one of the following features to define the elements of a hold slip:
- Default Slips—The default hold slip is described below. If you choose to use the default slip, you can optionally suppress the patron ADDRESS and TELEPHONE variable-length fields from printing on the slip by setting the Check-out: Display patron address circulation option to "NO". Note, however, that if your library has the Display Patron Contact Information for Items on Holdshelf feature set to Print Fields or Display and Print Fields, Sierra prints the TELEPHONE field on hold slips, even if Check-out: Display patron address is set to "NO."
- Custom Slips—The Custom Slips feature enables users to choose a customized hold slip. To enable this feature, contact Innovative.
- Print Templates—If your library has enabled the Print Templates feature, you can use the third-party Jaspersoft Studio application to create or modify print templates for hold slips and INN-Reach hold slips.
