INN-Reach Transit Slips
The INN-Reach transit slip accompanies the INN-Reach item when the patron site returns the item to the owning site. This slip is sometimes referred to as the "off-campus" transit slip.
Staff at the patron site can print this transit slip when they check in an INN-Reach item from the patron.
The INN-Reach transit slip differs from the standard circulation transit slip, because it contains data specific to INN-Reach circulation.

Customizing INN-Reach Transit Slips
Your library can use one of the following features to define the elements of an INN-Reach transit slip:
-
Default Slips—The default INN-Reach transit slip is described below. If you choose to use the default slip, no further configuration is needed.
-
Custom Slips—If you customize the transit slip used in standard circulation (via the Custom Slips feature), Sierra users can choose that customized transit slip as the INN-Reach transit slip. To enable this feature, contact Innovative.
-
Print Templates—If your library has enabled the Print Templates feature, you can use the third-party Jaspersoft Studio application to create or modify print templates for INN-Reach transit slips.
Default INN-Reach Transit Slip
The default INN-Reach transit slip contains the same elements as the default transit slip used in standard circulation on the Local Server. Note that item information originates in the virtual item record, rather than a local item record, so the contents differ from standard circulation values.
- Time
- The time the transit slip is printed.
- Terminal
- The terminal at which the transit slip is printed.
- Title
- The title of the INN-Reach item. This value is obtained from the virtual item record and ultimately corresponds to the TITLE variable-length field in the central bibliographic record.
- Call Number
- The call number of the INN-Reach item. This value is obtained from the virtual item record and ultimately corresponds to the CALL # variable-length field in the central bibliographic record.
- Item Status
- The STATUS fixed-length field in the virtual item record.
- Transit Message
- The following default message: Received. Belongs at location. To accommodate the location name, this message can be up to 190 pixels and 3 lines in size. The location element specifies the owning site, rather than a specific branch at the owning site.
