Deposit Collection Map

To view circulation parameters, you must be assigned permission 373 (View Circulation Parameters). To edit the Deposit Collection Map table, you must be assigned permission 386 (Edit Deposit Collection Map). See Permissions Used by Sierra for more information.

The Deposit Collection Map table enables you to define the item types used to circulate deposit collection items at member libraries. The system assigns the member library I TYPE value to temporary item records and uses that item type to determine the loan rule while the temporary item circulates among the member library's patrons.

You can access the Deposit Collection Map table via the following menu path:

The Deposit Collection Map table can contain a maximum of 256 entries, one for each possible value in the Item Types table. Each entry contains the following data elements:

Element	Description
Deposit Collection ITYPE	The I TYPE value or range of values in item records while they remain at the deposit collection library. For instance: 1,4,5-26.
Member Library ITYPE	A single I TYPE value to assign to temporary item records that are created from items with the values specified in the Deposit Collection ITYPE element. For instance: 12.
