Pcode 4 Table

To edit the Pcode 4 table, you must be assigned permission 675 (Edit Pcode 4). If you are assigned permission 373 (View Circulation Parameters) but not 675, you can view this file but cannot edit it. See Permissions Used by Sierra for more information.

The Pcode 4 table contains descriptive labels for the PCODE4 fixed-length fields in patron records. If your library has acquired Consortium Management Extensions, you can use these categories in any way that is useful to your library. The system uses these codes as categories in circulation reports.

You can access the Pcode 4 table via the following menu path:

Admin | Parameters | General | Pcode 4

For information on modifying this table, see Maintaining System Parameter Tables and Maintaining Circulation Parameters.

The system identifies entries in the Pcode 4 table by their numeric position in the table. Therefore, the Copy, Delete, Insert, and Move tools are unavailable when editing this table. To delete or insert an entry, select and edit the entry.

For more information, see Functionality Information and Data Elements.
