Suppressing the Patron Name

Innovative can set your system to suppress patrons' names in various Sierra Circulation functions. The functions affected by this optional functionality are detailed below.

• The system suppresses the patron's name in the display of checked in items in the Check-In (No Patron) function.
• When viewing currently checked out items in the Holds tab (in Circulation Desk), the system suppresses the names of the patrons associated with the checked out items.
• When viewing the item records of currently checked out items from the Search/Holds function, the system suppresses the names of the patrons associated with the checked out items.
• When viewing a Paid Fine Detail Display, the system suppresses the name of the patron whose fine you are viewing.

Note that your setting affects all of the scenarios above. You can not have separate settings for different scenarios. For example, if you would like the system to suppress the patron's name in the Check-In (No Patron) function, the patron's name is also suppressed when viewing detailed fine displays.
