Sending Collection Agency Reports
To send a Collection Agency Report to your collection agency:
- Generate the report.
- Click Send Report. Sierra prompts:
Send report to collection?
- Click Send. The system:
- Displays a progress bar while it attempts to send the report. Depending on the transfer method setting you selected, the system does one of the following:
- Email - (Sierra 5.4 and earlier) Emails the report to the email addresses in the Email To and Email Cc elements of the Collection Agency Settings table.
- Secure Drop (S3) - Uploads the report to the Amazon S3 bucket you specified, and emails a notification of the new report to the addresses in the Email To and Email Cc elements of the Collection Agency Settings table.
- None - Does not transfer the file, but emails a notification of the new report to the addresses in the Email To and Email Cc elements of the Collection Agency Settings table.
- Displays a message stating whether the system successfully sent the report. For more information, see Possible Messages.
- Performs the following actions for each patron record in a sent New Submissions Report:
- Adds the Agency Fee to the patron record as a manual charge with the reason "COLLECTION AGENCY REPORT CHARGE".
- Sets the MBLOCK fixed-length field to the Collection Agency Report value, thereby blocking the patron from checking out more items.
- (Sierra 5.3 and later) Saves a copy of the report to the Sierra server. If you are using Sierra 5.3 or later, you can download archived reports. If you are using Sierra 5.2 or earlier, contact Innovative to obtain an archived copy of a report.
- Displays a progress bar while it attempts to send the report. Depending on the transfer method setting you selected, the system does one of the following:
