Registering Patrons
Using Program Registration, patrons can register for a library-sponsored event for which registration via the Sierra system is enabled. Patrons can register in the following ways:
- Library staff can register patrons from their patron records.
- Library staff can register patrons from the program and section record.
- Patrons can self-register using the WebPAC.
Conditions on Patron Registration
When processing a registration request, the system checks the following conditions to determine whether a patron can register for the program:
- the patron's eligibility for the program as specified by the Patron Eligibility table
- if your library has enabled the Patron Registration Block feature, any patron blocks specified by the Patron Blocks table
- the number of seats for which the patron can register given the maximum seats allowed per section and your library's allocation of the multiple-registration maximum
