Retrieving License Records

To view license records, you must be assigned permission 221 (View Resource license). See Permissions Used by Sierra for more information.

You can retrieve a license record by doing one of the following:

Retrieve the resource record to which the license record is attached. See Retrieving License Records Attached to Resource Records for more information.
Change to a function that retrieves license records and search the record number index of the database. See Record Types Accessed by Searches for a table of which records can be accessed in functions.

Retrieving License Records Attached to Resource Records

When you retrieve a resource record, the record Summary tab displays a list of the attached records. To access an attached record, do the following:

Select the Summary tab, and choose the License record type from the View drop-down list.
In the list of records, select the record you want and choose Select.

The system displays the selected record in the Record tab.
