Disconnecting the Telephone Renewal System
Occasionally, you might need to stop accepting telephone renewal calls temporarily. For example, you might need to perform system maintenance, reinstall the telephone renewal software, or customize telephone renewal messages. To disconnect the Telephone Renewal System, choose Exit from the Online - Accepting Calls window. The system prompts:
Telephone Renewal will exit when all active calls complete. Begin Shutdown?
- To stop accepting calls, choose Yes. The system waits until all patrons who are currently using the system have hung up, then displays the telephone renewal main menu.
- To continue accepting calls, choose No.
After the system disconnects, you can shut down the software completely by choosing Exit, or you can choose Record to customize your library's telephone renewal messages.
