Using Offline Circulation
If your library has enabled Offline Circulation, you can conduct basic circulation and patron registration functions when the Sierra server is not available. Basic circulation functions can include checkout and checkin of INN-Reach items if your library has acquired INN-Reach.
Offline Circulation operates on a PC workstation separate from the Sierra server and connects to the Sierra server only when you manually upload offline transaction files. Once you have manually uploaded the offline transaction files, Sierra enables you to process the files and update the affected patron and item records.
