Registering Patron Information in Offline Circulation

Offline Circulation enables you to register patrons offline. When the patron registration information is uploaded to the Sierra server, the system uses it to create new patron records. There is no limit to the number of patrons you can register offline.

To enter patron registration information in Offline Circulation:

1. Launch Offline Circulation if you have not already done so.
2. Change the current mode to Patron Registration. The system displays the prompts you specified in Offline Circulation Preferences.
3. Enter patron data. You can leave fields blank if necessary.

   To clear all data from the Patron Registration fields without saving the information, choose the Clear button.

4. Choose the Add button. Offline Circulation:
   • Writes the patron's registration information to the patron.dat file.
   • Clears the Patron Registration fields.
