Creating a Patron Alias
The Patron Alias feature enables you to add a patron alias to a patron's record. If present in a patron's record, a patron's alias:
- prints on custom hold and/or transit slips (if you have requested that Innovative enable one of the custom hold or transit slips that use patron aliases)
- appears on the defunct holds report
To enable the Patron Alias feature, contact Innovative.
Variable-length Field Requirement
Your library must have an available patron record variable-length field in order to enable the Patron Alias feature.
To enter an alias for a patron, edit the patron alias field in the patron record.
