Maintaining Records in the INN-Reach Catalog

As Local Servers in the INN-Reach System contribute records to the INN-Reach Catalog, the INN-Reach Central Server performs the following actions:

1. Attempts to match the incoming record to an existing record in the INN-Reach Catalog. Your INN-Reach System selects the strategy that the INN-Reach Central Server uses for matching incoming records to master records.
2. If a matching record is found, determines whether the incoming or the existing record is the master record.
3. Updates the INN-Reach Catalog in one of the following ways:
   • Adds a new record.
   • Modifies the existing record.
   • Deletes the existing record.
