Claiming All Orders

To use this feature, you must enable the Show Claim All button in Claiming function option for your login.

To claim orders, you must be assigned permission 148 (Claim/Cancel Orders). See Permissions Used by Sierra for more information.

If you do not want to review claimable orders one-by-one, you can claim all orders in a single process:

  1. Choose Claim/Cancel Orders from the Function drop-down list.
  2. If the "Range" display is not showing, choose Tools | Search | Range.
  3. Choose the subset to search and the range, review file, or index in which to search.
  4. Choose Claim All to begin the search for all claimable records. Sierra displays a dialogue box asking you to wait while the claimable records are located.
  5. After searching the range, the system displays the Claim All Report dialogue box listing the estimated number of claimable records. To queue claim letters for these records, choose the OK button. To cancel the claiming process, choose Cancel.

Sierra does not display the claimable orders on the screen for your review when you choose OK. Instead, the system queues a claim letter for each order which you can review and delete while printing claims and cancellations. Additionally, order records are not updated until you print the claim letters.
