Changing the Routed Copy and Re-ordering the Routing List

To edit a routing list, you must be assigned permission 083 (Routing list maintenance).

To access the Routing tab, you must also be assigned permission 077 (Serials check-in). See Permissions Used by Sierra for more information.

After adding or deleting individuals from a serial's routing list, you can edit the routing list to:

To edit a serial's routing list:

  1. Choose Serials Checkin from the Function drop-down list.
  2. Retrieve the bibliographic record for the serial.
  3. If the bibliographic record has more than one attached checkin record, select the desired checkin record from the Summary tab by clicking the record.
  4. Select the Routing tab.
  5. Right-click either the routing record initials or the patron name of the record you want to change.
  6. Choose Cut from the popup menu to remove that record.
  7. Right-click the initials or patron name of another record in the routing list. This can be a record that receives the same copy, a different copy, or an empty cell in the list of a copy that is not yet routed.
  8. Choose Paste from the popup menu. Sierra pastes the routing or patron record before the selected initials or patron name.
  9. To exit the bibliographic record, choose Close.
