Changing the Link Order of Records Attached to the Bibliographic Record
Item, order, and holdings records attach to bibliographic records. You view the list of attached records in the bibliographic record's Summary tab. By default, attached records appear:
- by record type.
- in the order in which they were attached to the bibliographic record.
The order of attachment to the bibliographic record is known as the link order.
The Summary tab is available in the following functions:
- Catalog
- Check In Bound
- Claim/Cancel
- Delete Items
- Invoice
- Orders
- Rapid Receive
- Search/Holds
- Selection List
- Serials Check-in
- To Bindery
To change the link order of records attached to a bibliographic record:
- Choose one of the functions listed above from the Function list.
- Retrieve the bibliographic record.
- Select the Summary tab.
- In the View drop-down list, select the attached record type to move.
- Click on the '#' column header to sort the records by link order.
- Select one or more records.
- Choose the Move button.
- Enter the row number to which you want to move the selected record(s), and then choose OK. To move the selected record(s) to the end of the attached records, enter the highest number shown in the title of the dialog box.
