Editing ILL Requests

ILL requests contain fields that you can manually edit and fields that you must use system update functions to modify.

You can manually edit:

• Requests in the ILL files
• Requests associated with a specific patron
• Notes in requests
• Item barcodes in requests

You must use system update functions to:

• Change a supplier's name in an ILL request
• Modify the Follow up, Return by, and Returned fields in a request
• Change the Status field in a batch of requests

In addition, if your library has enabled the Update Patron Information in ILL Requests feature, the system updates ILL requests with current patron record information whenever you edit the requests. For more information, see Updating Patron Information in ILL Requests.
