Viewing Hold Queues
You can view the following types of hold queues:
- Title-level hold queue -- A list of patrons that have placed a hold on the bibliographic record.
- Item-level hold queue -- A list of patrons who have placed a hold on an item record attached to this bibliographic record or to an associated volume record.
- Volume-level hold queue -- A list of patrons that have placed a hold on a volume record attached to this bibliographic record.
To view the hold queue for title, volume, or item holds:
- Select one of the following from the Function list:
- Binding
- Catalog
- Check In Bound
- Claim/Cancel Orders
- Claiming
- Orders
- Receive
- Search/Holds
- Serials Checkin
- To Bindery
- Retrieve the bibliographic record for which you want to view the hold queue(s).
- Continue as appropriate.

If you have specified a Location Served, you can limit your view of the hold queue to the items, volumes, or titles to be picked up from your location. To see the hold queue at your location only, choose the All drop-down list and select Current Location.
- (Optional) To view the patron record for a person in the hold queue:
- Right-click on the entry, and select View Patron. Sierra displays the patron record in a read-only view.
- When finished, click Quit to return to the hold queue.
