Booking Any Available Item

You can create a booking for any available item as opposed to a specific item. You can use this method, for example, when creating a booking for a piece of equipment, such as a film projector or videocassette player, and the particular item being booked is not important.

You can book any available item using any of the following methods:

From the Summary tab in the bibliographic record
From the Bookings tab in the patron record
While adding an event

In addition, your library can enable patrons to book any available item. For more information, see Using Self Booking.

Maximum Number of Bookings

You can place a maximum of 400 bookings on an item or for a patron record.
