Cross-thesaurus Matches Headings Reports
Authority Control
Your library must use Automatic Authority Control Processing to access this report.
When updating 650 fields in bibliographic records, Automatic Authority Control Processing verifies that the bibliographic record heading and the authority record use the same thesaurus. To verify the thesauri, the system compares the second indicator of the bibliographic record's 650 field with the value in the matching authority record's 008/11 field.
If the bibliographic record 650 heading does not specify a thesaurus, that is, the second indicator is blank, or if the thesaurus is ambiguous, the system does not update the heading, but rather includes it in this headings report.
