Country Codes Table

To edit the Country Codes table, you must be assigned permission 653 (Edit Country Codes). If you are assigned permission 651 (View System Parameters) but not 653, you can view this table but cannot edit it. See Permissions Used by Sierra for more information.

The Country Codes table provides descriptive names for each of the MARC country codes used on the system. MARC country codes are used in the COUNTRY and 008 fields.

You can access the Country Codes table using the following menu path:

Admin | Parameters | General | Country Codes

For information on modifying this table, see Maintaining System Parameter Tables.

Because the system automatically orders entries in the Country Codes table alphabetically by code, the Move tool is unavailable when editing this table.

For more information, see Functionality Information and Data Elements.
