Mailing Labels
Depending on the products and features enabled at your library, Sierra prints a mailing label when:
- you check in a held item at its mailing location, if your library has enabled the Holds Mailing Labels feature.
- you receive an item, if your library has acquired the Held Item Delivery product.

Mailing Label Format
Mailing labels consist of two sections, comprising the patron and item information:
- Patron Name
- The PATRN NAME variable-length field in the patron record.
- Patron Address
- The ADDRESS variable-length field in the patron's record.
- Title
- The TITLE variable-length field in the bibliographic record.
- Call Number
- The CALL # variable-length field in the item record or, if absent, from the bibliographic record.
- Item Barcode
- The BARCODE variable-length field in the item record.
- Patron Message
- The PMESSAGE fixed-length field in the patron record. This field displays only if your library has acquired the Held Item Delivery product and you have asked Innovative to enable the Held Item Label PMESSAGE feature.
