Modifying Record Display in WebPAC
You can control the display of records in WebPAC using the following system options. To customize the record field information to display:
- You can define which record fields display in WebPAC by customizing the <!--{recordinfo:}--> token on any of the following forms: The system replaces the <!--{recordinfo:}--> token with the appropriate fields to display in the order defined in the token.
- Edit the webpub.def file to specify the labels, MARC tags, indicators, and subfields to display.
You can edit this file using Web Master function. If the webpub.def file is not present on your machine, you can create it in any text editor and upload it to your system for subsequent editing.
WebPAC uses the webpub.def file values to determine labels, MARC tags, indicators, and subfields to display for each field tag defined by the <!--{recordinfo:}--> token. If your organization has not customized the <!--{recordinfo:}--> token on the appropriate forms, the system uses the webpub.def file values to determine which fields to display.
