Providing Privacy Information

You can provide privacy information to patrons via the WebPAC in two ways, discussed below.

Adding a Privacy Policy Page

If you need to publish information on how the library collects, uses, and maintains personal data, you can add a privacy policy page (privacy.html) that patrons can access with the /privacy command link.

Enabling Notification of Cookies

You can enable a cookie notification message that appears in the WebPAC to notify patrons that the WebPAC uses cookies. You might even want to refer patrons to your privacy policy in the message—for example:

"This site uses cookies. See our privacy policy for more information."
