Configuring the System for the Patron or System to Choose an Item

You can configure the WebPAC to allow either patrons or the system to choose which copy of a title to satisfy the request.

1. In the Web Options function, select the Requesting Options group.
2. Edit the REQUEST Web option, as needed. The [Hold Level] controls various configurations for a patron or the system to select a title to satisfy a request.
3. Set the REQUEST_ARTICLE_IFCHKIN Web option to prompt users for specific journal article information when requesting an item with attached checkin records.
4. Edit the REQUEST_INSTRUCTION Web option to define the caption for the request input box presented to users.
5. Save your changes and restart the WebPAC.
