Using Batch Requesting

Libraries can offer patrons two options for placing holds on more than one item at a time in a saved list. For more information on saved lists, see Exporting Records in the WebPAC.

This batch requesting behavior prompts for patron verification unless the patron is already verified in a My Account session.

INN-Reach

Batch requesting cannot be used to submit INN-Reach requests.

Batch Requesting Behavior

A patron can choose to request selected items from a saved list, or request all items in the saved list. For example:

After the user chooses the items to select, the system processes and displays the status of the request.

Click Done to close the status window. Once closed, the status window cannot be reopened.

The system then displays the request status in the Status column of the request screen. The user might need to refresh the request screen.

Requesting Volumes

If your organization uses volume holds, users can request a specific volume through Batch Requesting. When users view the saved records in the Book Cart, the system prompts the user to select a volume for each saved record using a drop-down list of volumes. For example:
