Claiming Issues Individually
To select issues to claim, see Searching for Late Issues to Claim.
When you choose to claim late issues of a serial individually, you view and verify each claim separately. You can enter a different claim note for each issue or decide not to claim certain issues.
To claim late issues individually:
- Choose Claim One.
When you choose Claim One, Sierra opens the Claim Box dialog. Note that the dialog displays the cover date and enumeration levels of the issue in the title bar.
- Enter the claim note in the Note box. This note prints on the claim letter.
- Choose OK to write the claims to the serial-claims-awaiting-processing file. Choose Cancel to exit without claiming that particular issue.
Sierra displays a Claim Box dialog for the next selected issue. Press Esc to stop any further updates and not claim any more issues. If you have already claimed some issues, pressing Esc does not undo those claims. Repeat steps 2 and 3 for each issue to be claimed.
To view and edit the order record or change which order record is associated with the checkin card, choose the Record Number button. See Modifying Order Records in Claiming.
Sierra displays an order record number on the Record Number button only if there is an order record associated with the checkin card. If the card does not have an associated order record, the button displays "O00". You can choose the button marked "O00" and select an order record to associate with the checkin card.
