Adding a Record to a Review File from the Record Editor
You can add a record to a review file while viewing or editing it in Sierra's record editor. This workflow allows you to quickly add the record to a review file without leaving the function you're currently in. This feature works in any function where you can access the record editor.
To add a record to a review file:
- Open the record in the record editor. You can be in either edit mode or view mode.
- Select Tools | Add to Review File.
Sierra opens the Choose a Review File dialog, which contains a list of review files. Sierra displays a review file in the list if it meets all the criteria below. The review file must:
- Contain the same record type as the one you are trying to add.
- Have capacity (that is, it hasn't reached the maximum number of records allocated to it).
- Have a status of "complete".
- Be accessible to you (that is, it's not owned by another user).
If there are no valid review files, Sierra displays an error message.
- Select a review file from the list.
- Click Add. Sierra does one of the following:
- If successful, the dialog closes. Sierra does not display a confirmation message.
- If unsuccessful, Sierra displays an error message.
