Retrieving Invoice Records

To view invoice records, you must be assigned permission 418 (View invoice records). See Permissions Used by Sierra for more information.

You can retrieve invoice records in:

NOTE

Although Browse Invoices is used primarily to create invoices, you can edit suspended and finished invoices as well. Note that if your login is not the one associated with the invoice, you must be assigned permission 177 (Invoice Administrator) to edit the invoice. See Permissions Used By Sierra for more information.

Retrieving Invoice Records in Browse Invoices

Browse Invoices allows you to retrieve full invoices as entered, including suspended invoices. Note that the invoices display in view-only mode and cannot be edited.

To retrieve an invoice record:

  1. Change the function to Browse Invoices.
  2. Search a selected index.

Retrieving Invoice Records in Vendors

You can retrieve invoice records in the Vendors function. Note that you only can view invoices in Vendors function. To create invoices, you must be in the Browse Invoices function.

To retrieve an invoice record:

  1. Choose the Vendors function.
  2. Retrieve a vendor record by searching a selected index or using the vendor hierarchy to locate the record.
  3. Once you have retrieved the vendor record, select the Invoice tab. The system displays a list of invoices for the selected vendor.
  4. To view the full invoice, highlight the invoice and choose View. You can also use the search box at the top of the screen to locate an invoice by invoice number. The system automatically highlights the invoice in the list.
