Manually add a person to a segment

If a person already belongs to at least one segment, you can manually add the person to a segment.

If double opt-in is enabled, Promote sends an opt-in confirmation email to anyone you add who isn’t subscribed.

To manually add a person to a segment

  1. On the Audience page, select the People tab.
  2. Enter one of the following in the Search box:
    • Name
    • Email address
    • Barcode

    As you type, the system searches for people who match the search criteria.

  3. To see account details, select the person’s name from the search results.
  4. On the Segments tab, select + Add Segment.

    5. If the person doesn’t belong to a segment, or if the person’s subscription status is Unsubscribed, the button doesn’t appear.

  5. Enter the name of the segment you want to add the person to.
  6. Select the segment, and then select Add.
