Box Status Labels Table

To edit the box status labels, you must be assigned permission 659 (Edit box status labels).

Checkin card boxes have codes indicating the status of the issue. These codes, in turn, have system labels. For example, the code 'A' has the system label "ARRIVED". The system uses the labels to display the status of issues in the checkin card boxes. Using the Box Status Labels table, you can create and edit "local" labels that are specific to your library. The local labels, if they exist, are used instead of the system labels to display the status of issues.

Local Status Labels and the WebPAC
Customized box status labels do not display in the WebPAC.
Status Codes and Subcodes
You can create local labels for the 12 status codes and two subcodes (the "LATE" and "CLAIM" displays of the "EXPECTED" status). Subcodes are preceded by the $ symbol. See Overview of Checkin Card Fields for more information.

Data Elements

Entries in the Box Status Labels table contain the following data elements:

Element Description
Code The system code associated with the status. This field cannot be edited.
System Label
  • The default label for the status used by the system. This field cannot be edited.
  • Local Label The local label for the status as defined by your library.
