Central Loan Rule Determiner Table
In conjunction with the Central Loan Rules Table, the Loan Rule Determiner Table on the INN-Reach Central Server controls whether an item can be lent via INN-Reach circulation. This table specifies the circumstances under which a loan rule is applied when an item is requested. INN-Reach does not use an item's local shelving location when determining which loan rule to apply for INN-Reach circulation.
Central System Administrators maintain the Central Loan Rule Determiner Table.
Data Elements
The system uses a combination of the following elements to determine which loan rule to apply:
- LOCATION
- The site code of the site that contributed the item. Specific site codes are usually included only for sites that are in testing and require different INN-Reach Circulation parameters. Typically, this field contains the ????? wildcard, which represents all sites in the INN-Reach System.
- PATRON TYPE
- A central patron type.
- ITEM TYPE
- A central item type.
- AGE RANGE
- INN-Reach Circulation does not use this field. It can be blank.
- RULE NUMBER
- The loan rule that the system applies to requests for INN-Reach items that match the criteria specified in the other elements of this table.
- ACTIVE
- A 'Y' or 'N' value that specifies whether the entry is active.
For more information on these data elements, see Loan Rule Determiner Table.
