Viewing User Functions Reports

To view these reports, you must be authorized for function 15 (Analyze patron searches). See Permissions Used by Sierra for more information.

The User Functions reports display statistics on the functions patrons have performed using the View Your Own Record option in the WebPAC during the past ten days. The reports contain statistics on the number of renewals, holds cancellations, bookings cancellations, ILL request cancellations, PIN modifications, and Patron Information modifications.

When you choose the User Functions menu option, the system displays Management Information on Patron Functions. To view information for user functions:

  1. Choose User Functions from the reports menu.
  2. Choose one of the following from the reports menu:

    Renewing ItemsReport on the number of times patrons have renewed their checked-out items. One statistic is counted each time a patron renews any number of items.
    Cancel HoldsReport on the number of times patrons have cancelled their holds. One statistic is counted each time a patron cancels any number of holds.
    Freeze HoldsReport on the number of times patrons have frozen their holds. One statistic is counted each time a patron freezes any number of holds.
    Unfreeze HoldsReport on the number of times patrons have unfrozen their holds. One statistic is counted each time a patron unfreezes any number of holds.
    Change Hold Pickup LocationReport on the number of times patrons have changed their hold pickup location. One statistic is counted each time a patron changes any number of hold pickup locations.
    Cancel BookingsReport on the number of times patrons have cancelled their bookings. One statistic is counted each time a patron cancels any number of bookings.
    Cancel ILL RequestsThis report exists but is not populated. It is reserved for future use.
    Modify PINReport on the number of times patrons have modified their Personal Identification Number (PIN).
    Modify Personal InfoReport on the number of times patrons have modified their Personal Information. One statistic is counted each time a patron modifies her Personal Information, regardless of how many fields (for example, telephone number, email address) she chooses to update.
    AllReport on all user functions listed above.
  3. To define the report sort method, choose one of the following from the Sort By section of the reports menu:

    TerminalDefault sort method.
    PTYPEPatron type.
    DateFrom oldest to newest transactions.
  4. To limit the data included in the report, choose one of the following from the Limit By section of the reports menu:

    AllDefault sort method; display all report data.
    TerminalLimit the report data to specific terminals, that is statistics groups)
    PTYPELimit the report data to specific patron types.
  5. To remove any limits you have placed, choose All in the Limit By section of the reports menu.
  6. Choose Submit.
  7. User Functions reports are static reports, that is, they are not updated dynamically each time a search is performed. To display the latest information, choose Reload Data in the reports menu.

For each of these functions, the system displays statistics on the Number Done and the Percent Done for the past ten days.
