Creating, Copying, Editing and Deleting Categories

From the Category tab, you can create, copy, edit, delete, assign a sort order to each category and assign origins to categories.

Creating Categories

To create and save a category, you need only give it a name.

To create a category, follow these steps:

1. Choose Categories from the menu on the left-hand side of the WebBridge LR home page.
   
   The Categories tab displays:
   
   
2. Choose the Create New button.
   
   The Category (new) tab displays:
   
   
3. Enter a name for the category in the Name text box.
4. Choose Save.

Copying Categories

To copy a category, follow these steps:

1. Choose Categories from the menu on the left-hand side of the WebBridge LR home page.
   
   The Categories tab displays:
   
   
2. Choose the Copy button associated with the category.
   
   The Category (<category_name>) tab displays data from the copied category.
3. Edit the copied data to create a new category.
4. Choose Save.

Editing Categories

To edit a category, follow these steps:

1. Choose Categories from the menu on the left-hand side of the WebBridge LR home page.
   
   The Categories tab displays:
   
   
2. Choose the Edit button associated with the category.
   
   The Category (<category_name>) tab opens. For example:
   
   
3. Edit the category.
4. Choose Save.

Deleting Categories

You can delete categories from the Categories tab or from within the definition.

To delete a category from the Categories tab, follow these steps:

1. Choose Categories from the menu on the left-hand side of the WebBridge LR home page.
   
   The Categories tab displays:
   
   
2. Select the check boxes for the categories you want to delete.
3. Choose Delete Selected.
4. Choose Yes.

Deleting Categories from within a Category Definition

To delete a category from within the definition, follow these steps:

1. Choose Categories from the menu on the left-hand side of the WebBridge LR home page.
   
   The Categories tab displays:
   
   
2. Choose the Edit button associated with the category.
   
   The Category (<category_name>) tab opens. For example:
   
   
3. Choose Delete.
4. Choose Yes.
