Deleting Boxes

The Delete Boxes option allows you to delete the selected checkin card boxes.

  1. Choose Serials Checkin from the Function list.
  2. Retrieve the checkin card.
  3. Select the boxes to delete.
  4. Choose Tools | Box Menu | Delete Boxes. Sierra displays the following message:

Are you sure you want to delete the selected boxes?

The keyboard shortcut to open the message dialog is Delete.

  1. Choose Yes to delete the box(es).

Deleting Item Records While Deleting Checkin Card Boxes

If the checkin card boxes selected for deletion are associated with item records, Sierra opens the Delete Item records dialog. In this dialog, you can choose to view only the item records for the selected boxes (View Selected Only) or all attached Item records (Show All Items Linked).

Item records for the boxes you are deleting are selected. If you choose not to delete an item record, uncheck the check box in the Delete column.

Choose Submit to delete the selected item records and checkin card boxes. If you choose Cancel, Sierra does not delete the item records or checkin card boxes.
